Puppies celebrated their one-month birthday by taking their
first foray into the great outdoors!
April 28 -
Three weeks old!
Puppies celebrated their three-week birthday by trying solid
food - well, not exactly solid. More like gruel. They loved
it!

April 20 -Eyes
are opening!
Puppies' eyes started opening last week-end, and they are
getting much more mobile. They have tripled their birth
weight. They are amazing!
April 7 - Puppies start arriving!
Today was only day 59 of the pregnancy, but puppies began
arriving Wednesday afternoon, April 7, and continued arriving
until 10 a.m. Thursday, April 8. We have six fawn puppies
- two boys and four girls. Beemer is a great mom!

March 6 - the
ultrasound
The ultrasound was done on March 6 by Dr. Holcomb. This
was the 28th day following breeding. We were able to capture
images of three puppies on one screen, indicating there
are at least three puppies in the litter. We also captured
some single images. These could have been of different puppies,
or the same puppy from a different angle. Our best guess
at this point is that there may be several puppies.

Dr. Holcomb performs the ultrasound. Her weight
at the time of the ultrasound was 141 lbs. We will
be monitoring her weight gain weekly as the pregnancy
progresses.
We will also be monitoring her food intake closely.
Dr. Holcomb says bitches usually gain around 25%
of their weight. For Beemer, this would be 30 -
35 lbs.
